Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and often stylized with lowercase letters, such like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. Celebrate the special occasion. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic, and becoming fascinated with the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to use music for the sake of personal development, and not as a way of earning a living or to pursue an interest. She started writing lyrics of her own. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. She decided to start performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mom suggested they might help others not to gain fame with her work but to make those around them see their importance and the ways they can affect the world. The piano was first played by her when she was just six and began writing music when she was nine. This was not known by her family until she turned fourteen. Aurora's fame was not her goal. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. She claims that music is her favorite way to feel anything.
