Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many awards and grants. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the world on policies and studies on children as victims within the legal system. She is currently a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of several professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
